This project represents a thoughtful remodel and expansion of an existing residence, designed to modernize the home while improving spatial flow and overall functionality of the property.

The original 1,455 sq. ft. single-family residence was carefully renovated and expanded with a 413 sq. ft. addition, creating a more open and efficient layout. The new design emphasizes a spacious kitchen, living, and dining area organized within a bright open-plan interior. Vaulted ceilings and large glazing help maximize natural light while strengthening the visual connection between interior spaces and the backyard.

As part of the project, the existing garage was converted into a 306 sq. ft. Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU), introducing a fully independent living space on the property. The ADU includes its own kitchen, bathroom, and living area, providing flexible housing for guests, family members, or rental use.

The site design enhances the relationship between the buildings and the outdoor environment through carefully coordinated landscaping, pathways, and outdoor gathering areas. Large sliding doors extend the primary living spaces toward the yard, reinforcing the indoor–outdoor lifestyle typical for Southern California homes.

The result is a cohesive residential environment that combines modern design, improved functionality, and flexible living arrangements while respecting the scale and character of the neighborhood.
