This project transforms an existing 1,353 sq. ft. single-story house into a 2,716 sq. ft. two-story residence with a 436 sq. ft. attached garage. A comprehensive remodel and second-story addition approximately double the living area while bringing the entire home together through a cohesive contemporary design.
The front elevation combines warm wood cladding, textured stone, light stucco, and black-framed glazing. A generous upper-level balcony sits within a recessed architectural frame, creating depth and shade. Glass railings maintain an open appearance, while the wood-finished garage door and recessed entrance extend the material palette across the ground floor.
The front yard was reconfigured to accommodate a new driveway and entry walkway, providing direct access to the garage and front entrance. Planting areas soften the hardscape and complement the updated front elevation.
At the rear, large sliding glass doors connect the home to a wooden deck and poolside outdoor space. Above, a terrace with a wood pergola introduces filtered sunlight and patterned shadows, giving the rear elevation a distinct character while maintaining the same architectural language.
The design integrates the remodeled ground floor and new second story into one unified composition. Consistent materials and carefully coordinated proportions give the expanded home a renewed identity, with more living space and a stronger connection to its outdoor areas.
Our team works to ensure cohesive style and quality both inside and out of your home.
